On 16 May 2014 the second Regional Working Meeting of Project 18 was hosted at the University Mohammed V-Agdal in Rabat. The meeting was attended by experts and professors from various countries of the African Atlantic Façade, including Morocco, Mauritania, Gabon, Senegal and Ivory Coast. A very interesting plenary discussion was held on how to raise awareness and educate on bio-related topics. Furthermore, the experience and the work of AMBS (Association Marocaine de Biosécurité) was shared as an example of a well-structured association, which promotes the teaching of biosafety, as well as other scientific disciplines, among researchers, teachers and students.
